450/SQ.FT. GROUP EXHIBITION / 07.2006
This exhibition aimed to highlight the limited space issue in Hong Kong while at the same time positively demonstrating that every single square foot of space can have a meaning and value far above and beyond it being just a mere commodity. The ambitious project compromised 450 individual canvases - each one foot square - painted by more than 55 artists.
The press and public response to the exhibition was overwhelming, and was featured in IdN, HK Magazine, MILK, Apple Daily, East Touch, Beats Magazine, Sun Daily, Asian Wall St Journal, Hinge, Vision, HK Economic Times, SCMP and HK Headline as well as Cable TV, TVB and even The Economist website. Through donations and sales, the exhibition also raised some hard cash for local charities helping street sleepers and the homeless.

“COLOUR ME, HK!”the global-recognized Pictoplasma Germany. This global third session of “COLOUR ME”—“COLOUR ME, HK!” was all about the continuation of “COLOUR ME, PICTOPLASMA”’s concept to Asia of providing a whole white room for selected artists to create a full room of black and white illustrations, scribbles and character madness lively and collaboratively. Attendees witnessed live character writing from wall to wall and could lovingly color in the characters, turning the space into an evolving colouring and activity room. Hong Kong artists who had contributed in “COLOUR ME, Hong Kong!”. Close to 800 people packed the venue & they got so crazily and busy to color the walls. It was a truly unforgettable time. Then the colored walls were sent to idN Gallery in Wanchai for a 2-week exhibition and taken at last by art appreciators.
